Credit Score FICO, Equifax Credit Score, Online Credit Score

Check your personal Equifax credit score report and improve it!

Everyone knows a good credit score can make your life a lot better. It has a great affect on how much money you can borrow and interest rates on loan or a line of credit, even a mortgage. Its how banks will look at you in terms of how much liability you present to them. By getting some new good habits and a little bit of work you can improve your credit score and spend more time enjoying life.

First thing is first, you should find out what your credit score actually is. I recommend Equifax credit score checker, I myself have been using it for many years and the process of getting your FICO score is nice and easy. What I like about Equifax is that they show you nice graphs of where you are on the credit score range. Check your score here.

Once you find out you actual FICO score, which is between 300 and 900 points (the higher the better) you can take steps to improve it and the life of you and your family along with it. A common question people ask is "If I improve all the negative things in my credit report will it help raise my credit score?". Small note, Equifax actually explains to you some of the bad points in your report. The answer to the question is Yes!, of course it will. Nevertheless we cant just focus on removing the bad, we must also work on adding more positive things to it in order to increase you score to the level you deserve. There a bonus to all the work, your lifestyle will increase as well!

So lets kick away all the bad habits each of us has acquired in life. It can be difficult, but sit down with your loved ones and figure out all the ways money comes in to your family. Be it a paycheck or side job, we need the numbers of how much income we have to work with. Next step is to calculate all the expenses and separate the necessary ones from the luxury ones, lets call it trimming fat. Im sure there will be some money spent on useless things we sometimes dont even notice until they are on paper right in front of us. Now we can use that money to pay off any outstanding debts or credit card bills you might have. The change will not happen overnight, but we are headed in the right direction.

The interesting thing is once you get used to managing money to improve your credit score and remove all the negative items off the credit score report, that new good habit will not go away. You will just apply it to more and more things in life. Eventually with this new attitude you will find that you actually have extra cash in your pocket, but dont go blowing it all just yet. In this economy it might be wise to set a part of it aside for the new bright future ahead and the opportunities it will bring.
